Construction Manager Responsibilities & Duties
- Lead the pre-construction planning process, including budgeting, scheduling, and manpower allocation
- Develop and implement construction plans and schedules, and monitor progress to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget
- Oversee construction activities and ensure that all work is performed in accordance with safety, quality, and environmental standards
- Manage subcontractors and construction personnel, and ensure that all work is performed in accordance with contract specifications
- Conduct site inspections, and address any issues or concerns that arise during construction
- Coordinate and communicate effectively with project owners, stakeholders, and other relevant parties to ensure that projects are completed to their satisfaction
Construction Manager Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering, or related field
- Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations
- Proven experience as a Construction Manager or similar role
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions quickly
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction management, with a proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget
- Strong knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and safety regulations
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
