Responsibilities
Reporting to the R&D Manager, you will be responsible for formulating and developing healthy snacking products like long shelf life snacks, extruded snacks and baked goods (cookies, crackers, biscuits, etc.), utilizing ingredients such as dairy proteins, plant proteins, bioactives, vitamins and minerals. You must be able to take formulations from bench-top to pilot plant scale-up and commercialisation, and have fundamental understanding of plant processes to be able to assist production with troubleshooting any issues. This role also involves researching and analysing scientific publications and translating the knowledge to continuously improve product formulation, stability and their processing methods. As the subject matter expert, you will be working closely with the Sales team to provide on-site and off-site technical support to clients in the APAC region.
Requirements
You would need to have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field, and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience and/or training in snacks or bakery application. You must be able to scale projects from pilot plant to full, commercial scale, hence prior experience in manufacturing environment is a must. To be successful in this role, you are hands-on, self-motivated, able to multitask and possess good communication skills. Knowledge and prior experience in ingredients and processing equipment will be highly regarded. You should also be willing to travel.
