Summary

The Processing Plant Assistant Manager will support the Processing Plant Manager in overseeing daily operations of the salad leaf processing facility. This role involves assisting in managing production processes, ensuring quality control, and leading a team to deliver exceptional products. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in food processing and a passion for operational excellence.


Key Responsibilities


- Assist in managing day-to-day operations of the processing plant to ensure efficient production.

- Help implement and optimize operational procedures to enhance productivity.

- Support quality control measures and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.

- Assist in conducting inspections and audits to maintain product standards.

- Supervise and mentor production staff, promoting a culture of safety and teamwork.

- Assist in training new employees and fostering skill development among team members.

- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and finished products.

- Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely availability of supplies.

- Assist in preparing production reports and metrics for management review.

- Analyze data to identify areas for improvement in processes and quality.

- Contribute to the implementation of sustainable practices within the plant.

- Engage with team members to promote awareness of corporate social responsibility initiatives.


Requirement

- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Business Management, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

- 2-4 years of experience in food processing or manufacturing, preferably in the fresh produce sector.

- Familiarity with food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, ISO).

- Strong leadership potential with the ability to motivate a team.

- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.

- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
