Responsibilities:
- Conducts regular checks and functionality tests on building services equipment for compliance and serviceability.
- Carries out minor repairs on faulty building services equipment to reinstate affected equipment operation in the shortest possible time.
- Supervises major repair works by contractors on faulty building services equipment to ensure repairs are done to reinstate affected equipment operation in the shortest possible time.
- Performs preventive maintenance works on building services equipment.
- Initiates and implements cost saving repair techniques and program to facilitate cost saving for the Department.
- Repairs and upkeeps minor faults of the building’s architectural and structural finishes (painting touch-ups, tiles repairs, water proofing repairs, etc).
- Works co-operatively during emergency to reinstate buildings’ services in the shortest possible time.
- Maintains Department’s workings tools, materials and machines for serviceability and accountability.
- Maintains Department workshop, workstations, and workplaces.
- Provides technical assistance to tenants’ requests on the buildings’ services (extension of building services beyond normal trading hours, repairs, fault rectification, tenancy fit-out works, etc).
- Provides technical assistance to activities organized by the Advertising & Promotions Department (operation of winches, lighting and power supply provision, repair of display structures, etc).
- Assists the Tenancy Co-ordination Department in tenancy fit-out works handing-over/taking-over inspection for compliance.
- Assists the building’s Fire Safety Manager.
- Any other works instructed by his superiors.
Requirements:
- Minimum ‘O’ Level or NITEC in related engineering field
- Certification in First Aid/CERT is an added advantage
- At least 2 years of working experience in large commercial shopping centres, hotels, serviced apartments or residential properties
- Able to work on rotating shifts on weekends & public holidays
