We are looking for an experienced Product Manager who is passionate about building products that enhance the guest experience in the hotel industry. You will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build, and roll out products that deliver the company’s vision and strategy for the hospitality sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Gain a deep understanding of the hotel guest experience, identify and fill product gaps, and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve guest satisfaction, and drive growth within the hospitality industry.
- Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners in the hotel sector.
- Determine product pricing by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; and costing special and customized services for hotels.
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes tailored to the hotel industry.
- Scope and prioritize activities based on business and guest impact in the hotel sector.
- Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources, specifically for hotel-related products.
- Drive product launches including working with other product team members, sales teams, and marketing teams focused on the hospitality market.
- Evaluate promotional plans to ensure they are consistent with the product line strategy for hotels and that the message is effectively conveyed to the hospitality audience.
- Assess market competition by comparing the company's hotel-related products to competitors' offerings.
- Support presales engagement with hotel groups for adoption of services.
- Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding within the hotel industry.
- Represent the company by visiting hotel partners and customers to solicit feedback on company products and services.
REQUIREMENTS
- Proven work experience in product management or as an associate product manager, preferably within the hotel or hospitality industry.
- Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle in the hotel sector.
- Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management in the hotel industry.
- Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web Technologies related to the hospitality market.
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done in a hotel environment.
- Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization, specifically within the hotel sector.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on the hospitality industry.
- Degree in Hotel Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent preferred.
