Position Overview:
As a Cross-Cultural Marketing Strategist, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies that celebrate and promote traditional Chinese cuisine while appealing to both local and international audiences. Your role will involve deep cultural insights and innovative marketing techniques to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Market Analysis:
- Conduct thorough research to understand consumer preferences, trends, and behaviors related to traditional Chinese cuisine in Singapore and beyond.
- Analyze competitors and market positioning to identify opportunities for growth.
2. Cultural Adaptation:
- Develop marketing strategies that integrate traditional Chinese culinary practices with modern consumer trends.
- Ensure marketing messages resonate culturally with local and international audiences.
3. Campaign Development:
- Create and execute marketing campaigns that highlight the authenticity and heritage of our Chinese cuisine offerings.
- Utilize a mix of digital, social media, and traditional marketing channels to reach target audiences.
4. Partnerships and Collaboration:
- Build and maintain relationships with local businesses, cultural organizations, and influencers to promote traditional Chinese cuisine.
- Organize events, workshops, and tastings to enhance community engagement and brand recognition.
5. Content Creation:
- Produce compelling content (articles, videos, social media posts) that showcases the richness of traditional Chinese cuisine and its cultural significance.
- Collaborate with chefs and culinary experts to highlight dishes and cooking techniques.
6 Performance Measurement:
- Track and analyze the performance of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Utilize analytics tools to measure audience engagement and brand awareness.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Cultural Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in marketing, preferably in the F&B industry.
- Proven experience in cross-cultural marketing or working with multicultural teams.
- Strong understanding of traditional Chinese cuisine and cultural practices.
- Familiarity with local and international consumer behaviors and trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and platforms.
- Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, dynamic, and challenging environment.
- Effective communication skills at all levels, with receptiveness to feedback. Knowledge of Mandarin is an advantage.
