STORAGE ENGINEER (UNIX /LINUX) [PROVIDING SERVICE TO PUBLIC (GOVERNMENT RELATED ORGANIZATIONS)]

- Working Location: Central Region (Kallang Zone)
- Working Schedule: Monday – Friday (9 AM – 6 PM), usually
- [Required to provide stand-by support (after office hours & weekends/ PH on certain week(s); on rotating basis among team members]

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Designing and provisioning of Storage across EMC Vmax, VNS, NetApp
- Configuring and administering of RAID storage & associated components, SAN including fibre channel switch administration, data storage/ back-up/ visualization, and disaster recovery for servers
- Consolidating storage of data from different platforms (i.e.: Windows, Unix, Linux)
- Maintaining and troubleshooting of storage related issues
- Performing routine and preventive maintenance, storage allocations, new server integrations, etc.
- Documentation and reporting (i.e.: storage analyses, storage administration best practices/ policies/ procedures, enhancement recommendations, configuration changes, etc.)
- Other relevant duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
- Experienced working as a Storage Engineer (2 years minimum) in Unix/ Linux environments (with CommVault Backup Solution, and EMC VNX series)
- Experienced with the deployment of HPC Storage infrastructure covering key areas (i.e.: designing, installing, configuring, documenting and providing user/ admin training)
- Experienced managing parallel file systems (e.g.: Lustre, GPFS, Bee GFS,) and
- Good Knowledge with HPC Storage Principles, and RDMA-based interconnects (i.e.: InfiniBand, RoCE)
- Comfortable and able provide standby support: 1 – 2 weeks/ month (for after office hours and on weekends and Public Holidays)
