Job Purpose
The role of the Senior Accounts Officer is to provide support on Fixed Asset and Accounts Receivable matters for the assigned portfolio.
Responsibilities
Senior/Accounts Officer duties and responsibilities are as listed below. Note that the list is not comprehensive and related duties and responsibilities may be assigned from time to time.
Fixed Assets:
- Processing of fixed assets additions, disposals, transfers, depreciation, etc
- Maintenance of fixed assets register
- Month-end closing
- Preparation of audit schedules and other schedules for regulatory reporting
- Participate in UAT for system enhancements
- Attending to queries from users concerning fixed assets matters
- Other ad-hoc duties
Accounts Receivable:
- Update tariff rates for utilities billing (quarterly)
- Submission of monthly invoices to tenants’ portal
- Process intercompany billings
- Check on completeness for Late Payment Interest (LPI)
- Perform monthly invoice reconciliation
- Process billing request in Simplicity (subsystem)
- Process tenants’ refunds
- Respond to tenants’ email inquiries
- Ad hoc duties
Qualifications & Work Experience
- Diploma in Accounting
- Relevant working experience in a Shared Services environment.
Skills
Technical skills include:
- Good working knowledge of SAP and Ariba would be an advantage.
- Good numerical and Excel skills
Generic skills include:
- Meticulous in carrying out work orders
- Able to meet tight deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with a penchant for improvements
- Able to work under minimal supervision
- Good communication skills
