The School of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) invites applications for the position of Research Fellow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with other researchers (including PhD students and research staff) to conduct research on the structure-property relationship of additively manufactured (AM) alloys.
- Perform crystal plasticity modeling of the constitutive behavior of AM alloys
- Conduct modelling of fracture resistance of AM alloys.
- Develop machine learning models for high-throughput evaluation of mechanical properties.
- Deliver project millstones timely and present the work on internal and external conferences.
- Publish research results in reputable international journals.
Job Requirements
- PhD degree in solid mechanics, mechanics of materials, or related fields.
- Rich experience in theoretical and computational mechanics.
- In-depth knowledge in additive manufacturing.
- Good communication and writing in English as required in research work
- Strong responsibility for research work.
- Good publication record.
