VOLUNTEER AND MARKETING COORDINATOR (Social Service)

• Location:Office: Redhill / Queenstown (Tanglin International Centre)
• Projects based in Cambodia / Nepal
• Salary: $2800 - $3500 (depends on exp)
• Working hours: Mon-Fri 830am-530pm / Flexible

Job Description

1. We are NGO/charity with operations in Cambodia and Nepal. The Volunteer /Marketing Coordinator will liaise with volunteers who are interested to go to these countries for community or service learning projects . In Cambodia , volunteers will build houses, wells, toilets under the supervision of our Cambodian Staff. Our company has been organizing such trips for volunteers since 2003.
2. You are required to market these overseas trips to companies and churches . Other aspects of marketing will be organizing events (not frequent).
3. You will work with the Social Media Coordinator to provide contents and may be required to do some posting.
4. The job provides excellent opportunities to help the poor in developing countries.
5. Working with Teams:Work out quotation and itinerary for teams volunteering to go to Cambodia to build houses, wells, toilets and other activities such as interaction with children at our children home.
   Lead teams to Cambodia and ensure the staff (Cambodian Staff) have organised the program properly such as material are purchased, beneficiaries selected, accommodation and meals properly catered for.
   Coordinate with staff to ensure above are carried out before the team arrived.
   When in Cambodia, ensure that volunteers are assigned tasks to do and all tools, equipment and materials are available.
   Work out the budget to be transferred to Cambodia before team arrives.
   Ensure staff follows SOPs in executing the projects.
   
6. Marketing

• Market these volunteer programs to schools, tertiary institutions, companies and churches. You must be able to do presentations and follow up on contacts .
• You will work with the social media coordinator to market our overseas trips .

REQUIREMENTS

• Willing to travel to Cambodia or Nepal and stay up to 4 weeks if needed per trip
• Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree
