Job Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, upgrade, and manage Oracle database software and related products.
- Monitor system health and performance to guarantee high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Analyze complex data reports, identify issues affecting database efficiency, implement strategic solutions in a timely manner.
- Administering users' access permissions and privileges while adhering to corporate policies regarding data security/compliance standards.
- Perform regular backups and recovery tasks ensuring that all necessary database logs are maintained/audited regularly.
- Plan coordinate patch management activities during maintenance windows with minimal impact on business operations.
- Work closely with application development teams providing support with code deployment, database design/query optimization etc.;
- Proactively monitor capacity utilization trends plan for future expansion needs as required by organizational growth.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field; advanced certifications such as OCP (Oracle Certified Professional) preferred
- Extensive experience working with Oracle databases versions 11g/12c/19c including RAC (Real Application Clusters),Data Guard, Automatic Storage Management (ASM), RMAN backup/recovery techniques etc.;
- Solid understanding PL/SQL programming language ability develop stored procedures, triggers other scripts when needed;
- Familiarity with operating systems like UNIX/Linux Windows where Oracle databases may reside;
- Strong analytical skills combined effective problem-solving abilities;
- Excellent communication collaboration skills able work effectively across different departments within organization;
- Willingness participate on-call rotation provide after-hours support emergencies critical projects as needed.
