Job Description
1. Spearhead new projects by clients to develop from product brief / conception to Finished Good / First Customer Ship.
2. Work closely with Food Production staff including chefs to montior closely timeline , ensuring no manday over-run and also various external vendor like suppliers of raw materials, packaging and client updates.
3. Hands-on in the manufacturing to drive and support production and packing to ensure timeline is achieved.
4. Work closely with Head Chef, sous chef to obtain solutions to ensure timeline , ingredients sufficiency, manpower planning, packaging all aligns with datelines.
5. Hands-on support to various aspect of the production to achieve production targets.
6. Proficient and experienced in both cooking in the Catering / Central Kitchen environment as well as having prior experience / flair in doing Food Product Development in terms of suitable Food Packaging, Shelf Life enhancement methods, various cooking technology, executing food production.
Job Requirement
1. This candidate should preferably be trained in culinary arts and have at least 2 years experience in Catering, Central Kitchen, Food institutions in volume production.
2. A hands-on role which the candidate is also expected to perform all the functions of the chef in terms of mis-en-place, hot cooking, food costing, budgeting, packing cleaning if needed.
3. In addition the candidate is expected to have a track record of project managing food projects that includes packaging, new cooking techniques, shelf life extension technologies, new equipments , trends in the industry, food visual merchandising.
4. Internet Savvy with Facebook, Tik Tok , Instagram etc
5. Must be able to consume and handle pork related food products.
6. Knowledge of all local regulatory and international standards like SFA, ISO22k, FSSC22k, HALAL, GMP etc are essential.
