We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Trade Finance Senior Assistant / Officer to join our dynamic team. This role will play a crucial part in ensuring the smooth and efficient execution of our trade finance operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of trade finance principles and practices, coupled with excellent organizational and communication skills.
Key responsibilities:
- Handle timely submission of trade documentation, ensuring compliance with import Letter of Credit (LC) requirements.
- Monitor and ensure timely payment of import bills
- Perform data entry, filing, and prepare payments for LC advising charges.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit purposes.
- Liaise effectively with banks and business units to facilitate smooth trade documentation processing.
- Coordinate bank queries related to compliance and resolve discrepancies with business units.
- Analyse current trade flow processes and internal payment systems to identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations.
Other Specifications:
- Diploma in Banking or Finance related disciplines
- At least 2 to 3 years of relevant experience
- Strong understanding of trade finance principles, including Letters of Credit, UCP 600, and Incoterms.
- Proven experience in handling import and export documentation.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with both internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to multitask and work under pressure.
