Key responsibilities:
* Technical Support:
- Work closely with research scientiest and engineers to support R&D projects in advanced manufacturing technologies.
- Identify and recommend appropriate characterization techniques, test standard and methodology for projects.
- Perform sample preparation, equipment operation, data collection and report for metallurgical analysis, materials characterization and measurement.
- Operate and maintain analytical and test equipment, such as cross-section polisher, optical microscope with image processing software, mechanical tester, profilometer and spectrometers.
* Lab Management and day-to-day operations
- Maintain lab equipment in good working condition, lab consumables are adequately stocked and well managed.
- Source and purchase new equipment, modules and accessories.
- Prepare and update lab safety document RA/SWP. Implement and maintain 5S in the lab.
- Provide training and advice for lab equipment users.
Requirements:
- Diploma in Materials, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
- Good communication skills.
- Self-motivated with a positive work and learning attitude.
