- The Global Recovery Strategy Manager will oversee the end-to-end strategy, management, and execution of recovery processes across multiple regions and markets. The primary focus will be on optimizing recovery outcomes through effective strategies, including but not limited to Non-Performing Loan (NPL) sales, restructuring initiatives, and innovative collection approaches. This role requires a strategic mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to manage cross-functional teams and complex stakeholder relationships
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategy
Global Recovery Strategy Development:
- Design and implement recovery strategies that drive optimal financial outcomes, focusing on maximizing recoveries from distressed and non-performing assets.
- Collaborate with regional and local teams to tailor strategies according to market-specific nuances, regulatory requirements, and portfolio characteristics.
Management of NPL Sale Process:
- Lead the global NPL sale process, from portfolio segmentation and valuation to negotiation and execution of sales.
- Develop a robust framework for identifying eligible assets, pricing, and selecting buyers or investors for NPL portfolios. - Ensure all legal, regulatory, and compliance standards are adhered to during NPL sales, including the safeguarding of customer data.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including debt purchasers, investors, legal firms, and consultants, to ensure smooth transaction execution.
- Analyze market trends and emerging opportunities to develop innovative and competitive sale structures.
- Track and report the performance of NPL sales to optimize processes and strategies for future transactions.
Business
Recovery Performance & Optimization:
- Monitor the performance of recovery strategies across various markets, ensuring alignment with overall risk and financial objectives.
- Use data analytics and performance insights to continuously optimize recovery processes, including dynamic adjustments based on portfolio performance.
- Implement benchmarking and best practices across regions to standardize and enhance recovery activities.
Processes
- Collaborate with senior leadership, finance, legal, and compliance teams to ensure alignment on recovery objectives and risk appetite.
- Provide insights and regular updates to stakeholders on recovery strategies, NPL sales progress, and key risk metrics.
- Coordinate with technology teams to enhance digital recovery platforms, automation, and data-driven decision-making tools.
People & Talent
- Working closely with country collections strategy and MI analyst
- fostering a culture of high performance and continuous learning.
- Ensure the team is equipped with the necessary tools and resources to succeed in their roles.
Risk Management
- The ability to identifying, assessing, monitoring, controlling and mitigating risks, identify key issues based on Operational Risk Framework and put in place appropriate controls and measures.
Governance
- To ensure that all collection activities are carried out in compliance with the agreed standards and
- with due recognition of the regulatory guidelines within the country, Group Collections and the overall OR framework.
- To ensure good control mechanisms are in place by at least quarterly governance forum with Team
- Leads and to ensure satisfactory audit clearance.
- To support the regular submission for CST, KCI, etc.
- Immediately highlight gaps or breaches identified to appropriate department or management. Ensure agreements are reviewed periodically as required by the process standards.
- Work with GIA & Country teams to ensure that conduct of Internal Audits & Peer Reviews are
- undertaken seamlessly & identified issues are resolved timely.

Our Ideal Candidate
- 8+ years of experience in collections strategy, recovery management, NPL Sales, or related areas, with a strong focus on global or multi-market environments.
- Strong analytical skills, with experience in leveraging data to drive insights and decision-making.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Bachelor's or master’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related field.
- SAS/SQL knowledge preferred
