Job Description
A key member of the NUS College’s Communications team, the PR & Brand manager will play a pivotal role in elevating and driving the College’s brand mindshare and reputation. The role will be responsible for developing and executing effective PR and brand strategies that align with the company’s strategic vision and business objectives. By building strong relationships with media, influencers, and stakeholders, the PR and Brand Manager will drive positive awareness, manage public relations and contribute towards raising overall brand-building efforts for the College.
Brand Marketing & Management
- Develop and implement 360-degree brand communications & marketing strategies and campaigns, aligned with NUSC’s brand positioning (brand activation, partnerships, collaborations etc).
- Manage and enhance the brand guidelines catered to all touch points, ensuring synergies across multiple brand platforms and mediums.
- Ensure brand consistency and alignment across all NUSC channels, including website, social media, advertising and collaterals/materials.
- Manage NUSC corporate gift inventory, especially in curating gifts that align with the NUSC brand.
- Lead and oversee NUSC facility branding needs in collaboration with infrastructure office.
Public Relations Management
- Develop and pitch compelling press releases, media advisories and story angles to journalists, as well as craft speeches and executive communications for NUSC leadership.
- Manage media inquiries/briefings and coordinate interviews.
- Build and cultivate relationships with key media outlets, editors, correspondents, especially in the education sector.
- Monitor media coverage and track brand mentions.
- Proactively identify and address potential PR challenges or crises.
Measurement & Training
- Measure and report the effectiveness of PR and brand initiatives as well as identify trends, insights, and areas for optimisation.
- Manage brand research/sentiment surveys and audits.
- Conduct brand training workshops to impart NUSC brand guidelines and industry best practices.
- Work with other administrative teams in NUS College on cross-functional and shared duties.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Marketing, Communications or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in PR & brand management, campaign management and agency management.
- Previous experience in collaborating with broad groups of internal and external stakeholders in large organisations.
- Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects/campaigns with sometimes challenging timelines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong project management, organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Highly effective and strong creative and business judgment.
- Curiosity of mind and passion to build a career in the education industry.
- Experience in higher education sector is a plus.
