Responsibilities:
- Ensure the smooth operation of the Company’s computer systems and provide technical support to both office and vessel staff. This includes:
- Installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems, and applications.
- Monitoring and maintaining computer systems, networks, and hardware in both office and ship environments, and liaising with external IT vendors.
- Assisting shore and sea staff with troubleshooting and resolving hardware or software issues, either face-to-face or over the phone.
- Assisting in the preparation and administration of the Company’s IT policies and procedures.
- Supporting the Company’s cyber security efforts, including configuring and upgrading routers, switches, firewalls, proxies, antivirus software, access points, etc.
- Conducting disaster recovery operations.
- Board vessels to provide necessary IT support.
- Assist in implementing new information system management software for the Company.
- Attend to projects and tasks as assigned.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of a Diploma in a related discipline.
- A team player with good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Able to work independently.
- Comfortable with boarding vessels within Singapore waters (safety training will be provided).
- Experience in setting up and running new information software systems is a distinct advantage.
