Job Description:
- Support MODEC's decision-making process by providing financial analysis, insights, and reliable information, proactively assess challenges and opportunities to ensure informed and strategic decisions are made, and Facilitate collaborations among the team, departments and entities seeking for improvement in accuracy and efficiency in Control activities.
- Handle consolidated managerial reports/presentations/analysis demand such as but not limited to:
• Monthly commercial and finance (C&F) meeting material
• Monthly MFR YTD report comments
• Monthly MdB financial report analytical comments
- Present consolidated managerial cost report and materials in internal and external meetings on demand.
- Organize and facilitate the budget exercise with Control manager.
- Handle ad-hoc needs from Management and provide information within the expected timeline by the situation.
- Maintain close relations with their direct reports to make sure the followings but not limited to:
• Provide necessary support to execute their routine and deliver materials
• Cascade down the instructions from Control Manager
• Catch issues need to be solved and escalate them to Control Manager where necessary
• Promote collaborations among the team
• Promote their development by giving regular feedback and follow-up
- Facilitate communication inside the Control department (Vessel/Corporate/BI/Bid, etc) and promote collaborations.
- Facilitate inter-department relations and encourage the collaboration to have necessary communication and information flown.
- Facilitate inter-entity relations and encourage the collaboration to have necessary communication and information flown.
- Continuously improve cost control processes and procedures to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the function.
- Ensure the usage of IMS by their direct reports and contribute to the governance and functionality regarding the following main aspects: define the coordination goals and projects schedule (when applicable) together with IMS team and follow up and guarantee that IMS Documents under their responsibility are updated and implemented.
- Ensure the alignment of their direct reports with Company Objectives, Policies, Procedures and integration with Clients, Community, Suppliers and MdB Executive Team, by leading and engaging them, providing technical and behavioral guidance and feedback sessions and clarifying the career path.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Accounting or related areas; Bachelor in Engineering, Accounting or Business Management.
- Previous experience in the offshore industry (FPSO Operator, Drilling Companies or other companies in the Oil and Gas sector) is a strong asset
- Accounting and financial knowledge are a strong asset
- Previous management experience is a competitive edge
