Role : Banking Technical Delivery Manager - Java, API, Microservices

Key Requirements:

  • At least 10 yrs experience with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects
  • Must have working experience in leading a team of Java / API developers.
  • 05+ years overall design and development experience in Java, API, Microservices
  • 04+ years total working experience in Banking Industry is a must.
  • Should have had at least 5 years of experience in managing large scale projects & building applications from scratch using API’s and Microservices and leading multiple streams- must
  • Strong project / program management skills
  • Should have prior experience in managing virtual teams in onsite/offshore model
  • Should have a development background and the right level of experience and expertise to coach and design, plan and deliver complex applications
  • Ability to work under pressure and strict deadlines
  • Own overall delivery and drive team’s velocity
  • Strong analytical and communication skills
  • Go-getter
  • Prior experience in Banking applications (customer facing – client onboarding or middleware payment processing systems) is required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for end-to-end delivery of CEW from pre-project to post go live support
  • Providing technical leadership and guidance to team
  • Partnering with business stakeholders, architects to understand business requirements and technical design
  • Plan, manage, track delivery through a combination of agile tools and traditional planning tools where required to ensure overall delivery across all streams are sequenced and tracked
  • Ensure risks are pro-actively managed and highlighted in right forums to seek support for resolution
  • Deliver project in guidance and adherence to Bank’s software delivery, security, release management standard & guidelines.
  • Ensure all deliverables, checkpoints are planned and delivered to meet the bank’s standards and quality gates
  • Pro-active planning on development dependencies and plan and track them to closure
  • Ensure quality standards are built into the development phase with a quality first approach
  • Measure and monitor progress and quality using data-oriented approach
  • Participate in scrum of scrums and cross stream meetings to discuss, highlight dependencies across systems.
  • Conduct regular checkpoints (daily scrum, weekly project meetings) and track actions to closure
  • Put in change management processes to manage and deliver agreed business outcomes
  • During test phases, actively drive defect fixes to meet SLA’s. measure and manage defect density, re-open rates
  • Promote a culture of inclusiveness and have active participation from the team during team meetings and standups.
  • Identify areas of improvement from each sprint and work towards continuous improvement to improve sprint velocity and quality
  • Leading and contributing to cross-team improvement initiatives relating to agile methods, CI/CD tools, people, architecture, project management and governance, including further adoption and improvements to the Bank’s System Development Methodology (SDM)
