Administrative Support Role (Japanese Language Skills Required)

This position is an additional headcount within the team to enhance client support and service delivery. A background in finance or banking is not required—we are looking for someone who is willing to learn and take on an administrative role. Strong organizational skills and effective communication in English and Japanese are essential, as the successful candidate will use both languages almost every day.

Responsibilities:

  • Administrative Support:
    Assist Relationship Managers (RMs) with scheduling meetings, maintaining accurate client records, and completing ad-hoc tasks as assigned.
  • Documentation Management:
    Prepare, review, and process account-opening documents, funds/securities transfer instructions, and compliance-related paperwork.
  • Coordination:
    Collaborate with internal teams, such as compliance and operations, to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Reporting:
    Generate and distribute reports/statements on client portfolios and investment performance.
  • Client Support:
    Address administrative requests from clients, ensuring their needs are met while maintaining a professional relationship. This includes providing beverages to clients and guests during meetings held at the office.

Qualifications:

  • Fluency in Japanese (spoken and written) is compulsory for this role.
  • Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT) N1 or at least N2 certification is required.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Basic understanding of finance or business is a plus, but not mandatory.
  • Prior experience in financial services is helpful but not required—we welcome those willing to learn.
  • Knowledge of compliance or KYC processes is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills in both English and Japanese, as both languages will be used daily.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; word and excel.

Salary:

Negotiable based on experience.
