Sr. Manager, Business Development

Job Description:

  • Responsible for business development and sales in the APAC region.
  • Conduct financial feasibility studies, market research, competitor analysis, and planning to define, identify, and implement market entry strategies.
  • Develop and identify project pipelines and evaluate specific business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Identify, build, and manage long-term business relationships with strategic partners in the Oil and Gas and Energy sectors.
  • Maintain and improve relationships with existing customers and build relationships with prospective customers.
  • Participate in meetings and negotiations with potential clients and business partners to pursue business opportunities.
  • Conduct market opportunity assessments to find leads and drive a continuous pipeline of sales.
  • Execute effective sales pitches with timely adaptation of strategies as required.
  • Collaborate and liaise with the Engineering Department and/or Consulting Department regarding all aspects of proposal work.
  • Supervise the proposal process for pursuits and ensure that win strategies are incorporated into the proposals.
  • Manage and support the preparation of qualifications, questionnaires, presentations, tenders, quotations, and other pertinent data to support business development.
  • Cooperate with the Legal Department and Risk Management Department.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering with at least 10-15 years of industry experience, preferably within the Offshore Oil & Gas or Energy sector.
  • Preferably 7-10 years of work experience related to Business Development.
  • Experience with industry EPC projects is an added advantage.
  • Project Management experience is a plus.
  • Demonstrated business acumen in balancing customer and business requirements.
  • Client-focused, solution-oriented with effective problem-solving skills aimed at building and maintaining relationships.
  • A strategic and analytical thinker who can influence decisions in a competitive landscape across multicultural environments.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to accommodate business travel.
