Electronic Trading Solutions (ETS) unites all of Bloomberg’s cross-asset electronic trading platforms into one business, delivering trading solutions and analytics to both our buy-side and sell-side clients. Our solutions are an integral part of the Bloomberg network, allowing our clients to seamlessly stage, monitor, trade, clear, allocate and perform Transaction Cost Analysis all on one platform. In addition to capturing workflow, securing terminals, and growing our franchise market share, we offer many revenue-generating solutions that integrate with Bloomberg and non-Bloomberg OMS solutions, across the financial market.


What’s the role?


As a Team Leader of the ETS FICC Liquidity team, you will be responsible for motivating and leading a team of experienced Relationship Managers focused on our Fixed Income and FX Liquidity solutions across, working with some of largest clients across the sell-side, not only regionally but with a global lens. The goal of this pivotal team is to drive value by building deep client relationships, understanding workflows and functionality, liquidity impact and finding opportunities to grow the ETS business across the team’s account base. The team’s success will be determined by the impact to trade volume, revenue generation and overall usage from the client base. Strong collaboration with ETS buy-side and a knowledge of buy-side players is also an integral part of this role.


We'll trust you to:

  • Set, communicate and execute on strategy for the ETS Liquidity business in APAC working alongside your global manager and peers in EMEA/AMEA
  • Have an in-depth knowledge of what our customers do within the Electronic Trading landscape - both sell-side and buy-side
  • Maintain excellent and robust client relationships, partnering with them as an Electronic Trading specialist
  • Utilise this in-depth client knowledge as well as your strong product knowledge, technical skills, and market knowledge to collaborate with Terminal, Enterprise and Data product offerings to build out revenue streams
  • Collaborate effectively with the Enterprise and Core Product teams to ensure Product development aligns and exceeds client needs
  • Set expectations, hold team members accountable and motivate them to drive exceptional results
  • Develop each team member's knowledge, skills and talents through coaching and constructive feedback, establishing the foundation for a successful career at Bloomberg
  • Demonstrate leadership through mentoring, training or campaigns, as well as by playing an active role in driving departmental and firm-wide initiatives and goals

You'll need to have:

  • 8+ years experience working in financial markets or financial markets technology firms
  • Prior experience selling financial markets technology solutions and/or financial markets data solutions to major financial institutions
  • Working experience supporting or selling Fixed Income and/or Foreign Exchange products or solutions
  • Excellent understanding of electronic trading, STP or financial markets execution or order management solutions
  • Strong understanding of the financial markets, including electronic trading workflows and OTC asset classes (Fixed Income, FX)
  • Client facing experience, with a track record building and maintaining deep relationships with key decision makers and C-level executives in enterprise level clients
  • Strong understanding of the impact of regulation, market structure and compliance in electronic trading
  • Enthusiasm and dedication to improve knowledge of the Bloomberg suite of solutions, both internally and externally, as it constantly evolves with new products and functionality
  • Ability to lead a diverse team of individuals; providing motivation and direction for results driven strategy and execution plan to achieve maximum results
  • An ability to influence internal relationships across Sales, Implementation, and Product
  • Ability to manage resources effectively and work well in a highly collaborative, fast paced environment
  • Demonstrated continuous career growth within an organization
  • Strong presentation and communication skills in English
  • Bachelor's degree or degree equivalent qualifications
  • An ability to travel frequently

We'd love to see:

  • Prior experience with the Bloomberg product suite
  • Experience with additional asset classes and/or regulated trading environments
