Our Client, a MNC in the Food & Agribusiness located in Town is looking for a HR Manager.
Reporting to the CHRO, is responsible for recommending, aligning, and implementing People strategies in partnership with the HR Business Partner, Centre of Excellence (CoE) and People Services (PST) teams. The position provides professional HR guidance to relevant internal customers to add value to the business. This includes the effective delivery of HR Services, HR Business Partnering, and related requirements of the assigned Business Unit/entities.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Services Delivery/HR Business Partnering
- Act as a primary HR interface of the regional office and responsible for running the day-to-day HR operations and providing regional support for employees and entities in the regional office, including but not limited to onboarding, work pass application, confirmation, off-boarding and etc
- Partner with external payroll vendor and internal stakeholders to administer timely and accurate monthly payroll processing
- Recommends and implements end-to-end HR and People services, systems, and procedures aligned with the overall HR/People and Business strategies
- Monitors, reports HR issues/challenges, and recommends opportunities and development plans
- Participates in the budgeting process by providing data and working with relevant stakeholders
Talent Attraction
- Collaborate with CoE and stakeholders by implementing and leading Attraction-related initiatives
Performance Management
- Work closely with CoE in rolling out an effective performance management program
- Participate in the annual merit increase and promotion cycle by communicating and implementing the processes
- Support in the implementation and closure of Performance Improvement Plans
Talent Optimization/Learning and Development
- Profiling of critical talents and high potentials for Managers and below
- Support in the succession and talent identification discussion
- Partner with CoE and HRBP in the developmental interventions of identified critical talents and High Potentials
- Implementation of Learning and Development initiatives and programs in collaboration with CoE
Organizational Development
- Work hand in hand with stakeholders, HRBP and CoE to identify organizational and employee concerns and conceptualize strategies to ensure employee motivation and engagement.
- Ensure effective implementation of organizational development programs
- Collaborate with other functional/departmental heads to understand all necessary aspects and needs of HR development, and to ensure they are fully informed of HR objectives, purpose and achievements
Engagement and Culture Building
- Be the Voice of HR in the regional office. Develop, execute, and evaluate internal communication plan to ensure initiatives and organizational information are communicated regularly and effectively
- Responsible for the implementation of culture and engagement initiatives and programs
Employee/Labor Relations and Other Governance-Related Functions
- Responsible for ensuring compliance with rules, regulations, and government legislation and keeping abreast of the latest updates
- Manage employee complaints, grievances, and disputes
- Effectively identify opportunities to improve process administration to increase effectiveness and enhance employment experience
- Collaborate with respective functional heads in the resolution of problems and handling of disciplinary cases and ensure that actions taken should comply with the local labor laws
- Implements company-initiated and government-mandated benefits.
Special Projects
- Participate in the design and development of HR initiatives relating to Talent Attraction, Talent Management and Development, Organization Effectiveness, and overall HR and People Strategies
Qualifications
- Degree in Business Administration and/or Human Resource Management
- At least 8 years as HR generalist with expert knowledge in the different HR specialties
- Hands-on experience in running HR operations with knowledge of HR practices and legislation in Singapore. Those with experience in other countries within APAC will be advantageous
- Experience in managing outsourced payroll vendors
- Proactive individual contributor who works well as a team
- Experience working in MNC with matrix organization setting
