Job Description
- Participate in the tendering process from start to finish, including selecting bidders, preparing tender documents, submitting tenders, and awarding contracts.
- Take-off quantities and prepare Bills of Quantities (BOQ) along with drawings and specifications for soliciting quotations.
- Source subcontractors and suppliers, measure quantities, and estimate costs for both pre-contract and post-contract phases.
- Negotiate, administer, and monitor pre and post tender/contract activities.
- Price and forecast the costs of various materials needed for the project.
- Follow up on the preparation of invoices, purchase orders, work orders, subcontract agreements, and letters of award to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Monitor and assess work progress, evaluate subcontractor payment claims, and manage variation order claims before certification.
- Ensure timely follow-up on monthly progress claims.
- Attend site, client, and consultant meetings as required.
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned.
Job Specification
1. Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying/Building or equivalent from a recognized University.
2. Able to read/understand/execute work based on construction drawings
3. Good communication, interpersonal and collaboration skills
4. Minimum 3 years of relevant experience.
