This creative role is responsible for the design of skincare & beauty retail projects. You will focus on a consumer journey that resonates with the brand's identity and vision while ensuring creative articulation is in line with global strategy and direction.

Your Team

You will report to the Design Director.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Retail Design: Responsible for creative design on new concepts and retail formats to elevate consumer journey and brand experience. Oversee and manage projects from brief through design, construction stages and completion and opening for each project. Ensure timely delivery of design, project and opening schedule.
  • Project Management: provide support on pilot doors, custom designs and events, and fit-for-use market solutions. Support planning, managing and tracking of project costs and ensure projects meet budget requirements.
  • Collaborate: with internal functions including Visual Merchandising team to ensure creative and impactful store presentation. Manage external consultants & vendors/contractors to ensure quality and consistency in the construction of all counter & standalone boutiques across the region.
  • Responsible for adapting from Global design guidelines in markets’ roll-out for renovation and new projects in a budget-conscious and timely manner.
  • Lead on shop drawing review and validation, factory QC, site reviews and follow up on defect punchlist. Review technical drawing packages and support local markets in cost estimates and value engineering.
  • Identify opportunities for cost efficiencies, project savings, and innovative design solutions to enhance overall project delivery.
  • Support markets on qualification of new vendors/contractors in support of business needs Train new and existing contractors, providing updates on new techniques, details and directions for store design.

Job Qualifications

  • Degree in Interior Design / Architecture or related field
  • Minimum 8 years of design experience in architectural/interior or retail store design, with 5 years experience in branded retail or luxury retail environments.
  • Strong communication a pre-requisite to manage multiple and diverse markets.
  • Ability to influence, communicate and collaborate with different internal functional teams, as well as external teams that include consultants, vendors, contractors and millwork suppliers, to execute completion of projects.
  • Ability to understand technical aspects of Retail Design, such as materials and finishes, lighting requirement, furniture design, detailing fixtures, and related fields.
  • Extensive network & knowledge of shopfitters, retailers & procurement processes will be highly advantageous to the success of this role.
  • Strong analytical skills with an understanding of the Asia retail consumer and market.
  • Good proficiency in software programs including AutoCAD and Sketchup.
