Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced NACE Level 2 or 3 Senior Coatings Inspector to lead our quality assurance efforts. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of coating applications, inspection procedures, and quality standards. This role involves overseeing inspections, providing technical guidance, and ensuring the highest standards of coatings integrity.
Key Responsibilies:
1. Leadership and Supervision:
- Lead and supervise a team of coatings inspectors.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior inspectors.
- Ensure all inspection activities comply with industry standards and project requirements.
2. Advanced Inspection and Testing:
- Conduct and oversee advanced inspections of surface preparations and coating applications.
- Perform complex tests to measure surface profiles, environmental conditions, and coating thickness.
- Ensure all coatings meet or exceed NACE standards and project specifications.
3. Comprehensive Documentation:
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of all inspection activities.
- Prepare comprehensive inspection reports and communicate findings to stakeholders.
- Document and analyze deviations or non-conformances and implement corrective actions.
4. Quality Assurance and Control:
- Develop and implement quality assurance protocols for coatings applications.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Lead pre-job meetings to set inspection criteria and quality expectations.
5. Stakeholder Communication:
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and project managers regarding coating inspections.
- Provide expert advice and recommendations on coatings applications and quality standards.
- Report on project progress, inspection results, and quality issues to senior management.
6. Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
- Stay abreast of the latest industry developments, technologies, and best practices.
- Lead training programs and workshops to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance inspection processes and outcomes.
Qualifications:
Certification:
- NACE Level 2 or 3 Senior Coatings Inspector Certification.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in advanced coatings inspection and quality assurance.
- Extensive experience in industrial coatings in sectors such as oil & gas, marine, infrastructure, or manufacturing.
