Sales activities
- Engagement with customers ranging from small medium sized to larger customers, outfield visit is sometimes required
- Focal point to all customer enquiry on both commercial and operational matters.
- Negotiate and liaise on all shipment issues. E.g., space / local charges details/ free time issue.
- Any other activities relating to rates and freight
- Preparing daily sales forecast for cargo flow to ensure SG space is protected
- Liasing with cargo flow on space acceptance and relay the same information to Customer Service team
Rate / Free time filling
- Liaise with trade manager for rate / free time filling
- Create and submit OOG application for BU approval
- Follow up on quotations, credit applications and free time request with all stakeholders
- Feedback competitors/market rate info to the line manager for MMG rate reviewing
- Sending of tariff adjustment memo to all relevant stakeholders
Auto rating filling / Freighting
- Monitor and ensure all sales quotations are filed on time before closing date.
- File the rate details into quotation negotiation and process auto rating when shipment materialized.
- Ensure all the freight was manifested correctly.
- Follow up on FOB rate details with oversea agents/ regional office whenever FOB shipment is received.
- Take lead in troubleshooting all rating matters, working with different stakeholders in resolving the issues
- Ensure auto-rating can take place successfully
CRM/Reporting
- Generate sales report from CRM. Monitor and flag any abnormality in the trend
- Analyze customer performance from CRM to study the trend. Liaise with respective AO and discuss potential resolutions to the issues
- Act as focal point to receive the sales lead in CRM. Assign the sales lead to individual AO.
Any other duties
- Key focal point for Country Manager’s travelling itinerary
- Ad-hoc duties
