Lead, Finance Operations

The role of Lead,Finance Operations will manage the Finance Operations team to ensure that goals and tasks are achieved and completed.


She/He will take the lead on productivity initiatives, performance management, collaborations and coherence within Finance and across divisions in the company, and fostering strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, focus and commit to build service differentiation, modelling the way for Service Excellence.


Job Details:

  1. Support Department Head to:Supervise a team staff to oversee smooth operations flow in meeting the company's objectives and key performance indicators.
    Ensure the internal control framework is in place.
    Responsible for timely and accurate reporting on sub-ledger including bank recompilation and accounts analysis.
    Continuously evaluate policies and procedure, tweak processes to gain productivity and seek compliance with internal controls.
  2. Effective Change Manager, for instance,Drive changes in Finance Ops processes to meet changes in business requirements.
    Keep updated on technological advancements in AP/AR systems arena and review/evaluate their suitability for the business.
    Implement best practices to AR/AP process
  3. Responsible for following up on the abnormalities detected by Data Analytics and report on findings from the investigation.
  4. Liaise with internal and external auditors, bankers, other divisions and external vendors on payment related matters.

Project Management

  1. Driving process simplification and lead the implementation of standardization and scalable processes.
  2. Participate in the implementation and maintenance of technology driven initiatives (e.g. Robotic Process Automation, Data Analytics).
  3. Involve in the development, migration and enhancement of the Source systems and Finance system.'

Job Qualifications:

  1. Degree in Accounting, ACCA or equivalent professional qualification
  2. At least 5 years of relevant commercial experience.
  3. Knowledge and hands-on experience in any of the major accounting software (eg SAP, Workday)
  4. Experience with system changes implementation and UAT.
  5. Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Words and PowerPoint
  6. Sound knowledge of GST and Withholding tax
  7. Audit experience would be a plus.

Pre-requisites:

  1. Possess good interpersonal skills with excellent written and presentation abilities, be articulate, numerate and able to work independently.
  2. A self-motivated team player who is meticulous, organised and able to learn quickly with strong analytical skills.
  3. Ability to multi-task and work in fast pace dynamic environment.
