Responsibilities
- Assess and provide individualized Occupational Therapy intervention for children with a wide range of developmental challenges (eg. motor coordination disorder, sensory processing disorder, or autism spectrum disorder)
- Conduct group Occupational Therapy classes if required (eg. in the areas of handwriting and socialization)
- Establish good therapist – parent relationships through regular feedback and open communication. This includes providing parents and caregivers with updates on the child’s progress and relevant home strategies and recommendations after each session with the child.
- Be proactive in keeping abreast of developments in the field of Paediatric Occupational Therapy
- Able to commit to work on weekends (Saturday / Sunday)
Requirements
- Full registration with Allied Health Professions Council (AHPC)
- Diploma, Degree or Masters in Occupational Therapy
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
