Job Description
Market Research and Analysis:
- Identify market trends, competitive landscape, and potential growth opportunities within the subsea inspection and tools industry.
- Analyze customer needs and industry developments in offshore oil & gas, renewable energy, and underwater construction sectors.
Client Acquisition and Relationship Management:
- Develop relationships with key stakeholders, including offshore oil and gas companies, renewable energy firms, and subsea contractors.
- Identify and approach potential clients, presenting tailored solutions using subsea inspection tools and technologies.
- Maintain ongoing communication with existing clients, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for repeat business.
Product Knowledge and Sales Strategy:
- Develop deep technical knowledge of subsea inspection tools, remotely operated vehicles (ROVs), autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs), and related technologies.
- Collaborate with engineering and product development teams to understand and promote product features and innovations.
- Create compelling sales proposals, presentations, and contracts in collaboration with internal teams.
Project and Deal Management:
- Lead negotiations, close deals, and manage contracts for large subsea inspection projects.
- Coordinate with project managers and technical teams to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Ensure that all business development activities align with overall company goals and objectives.
Partnership and Networking:
- Build and maintain strong networks with industry professionals, including attending trade shows, industry conferences, and networking events.
- Develop strategic partnerships with complementary companies and organizations to enhance product offerings or service reach.
Financial and Performance Tracking:
- Develop and manage the business development budget, including forecasting and reporting on sales targets, KPIs, and ROI.
- Monitor the performance of key accounts and market penetration, adjusting strategies as needed to meet objectives.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Marine Technology, or a related field.
- Experience:
- 5+ years of experience in business development, preferably in the subsea, oil and gas, or marine industries.
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing client relationships.
- Experience with subsea inspection tools, ROVs, AUVs, and related technologies is preferred.
- Technical Skills:
- Strong understanding of subsea engineering principles, inspection tools, and the operational challenges of subsea environments.
- Ability to understand and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical clients.
- Sales Skills:
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
- Experience in building and executing long-term business strategies.
- Networking: Extensive network within the subsea or offshore industry is highly desirable.
- Analytical: Ability to analyze market trends, financials, and data to inform decision-making.
- Travel: Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
