Business Development Manager

As a Business Development Manager at Caladan, you will have the opportunity to play a major role in the growth of our company into new markets. We have industry-leading technology and systems, ambitious growth plans, and an existing pipeline of inbound opportunities. Key Responsibilities

  • Grow our token market making and electronic OTC businesses on a global scale, with ownership of P/L targets.
  • Manage the entire sales cycle including managing inbound opportunities, outbound prospecting, making proposals, and signing contracts.
  • Provide value-add advice to our clients and partners on matters relating to trading, market-making, listing, and liquidity across both CeFi and DeFi.
  • Work with our internal trading, technology, and operations teams to execute and deliver on the signed agreements.
  • Work with your colleagues across ecosystem, marketing, and venture investing roles to jointly build our brand and develop relationships with different stakeholders in the ecosystem such as projects, VC firms, exchanges, foundations, DAOs, and others.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrated success at achieving against quota in a business development / sales role.
  • Previous work experience at a trading desk, OTC, FX, options, exchange, financial technology services provider, or similar.
  • A deep understanding of cryptocurrencies, exchanges both centralised and decentralised, algorithmic trading, market-making, RFQs, listings, liquidity, and regulatory concerns.
  • Familiar with different sales methodologies and sales best practices including account-based marketing, CRM management, lead qualification, pipeline forecasting, objection handling, challenger sales, etc.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
  • Excited about the opportunity to own P/L generation, build a business, and make a real impact in the industry.
