Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Hospital Food Service Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting patients with their meal orders, ensuring dietary needs are met, and managing multiple orders efficiently within the ward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist patients in selecting their meals, taking into account dietary restrictions and preferences.
- Accurately record and relay meal orders to the kitchen staff.
- Deliver meals to patients in a timely and courteous manner.
- Manage multiple meal orders simultaneously, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Communicate effectively with patients, nursing staff, and kitchen personnel.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Address any patient concerns or special requests regarding their meals.
- Ensure compliance with hospital food safety and hygiene standards.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in food service or healthcare settings is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Compassionate and patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
- Basic knowledge of dietary restrictions and nutrition is a plus.
