Job Description – Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Multi-disciplined technical administration and broking role, across our Reinsurance business classes and risk types, incorporating all stages of the broking lifecycle, from contract documentation preparation through to into our in-house billing system (E Global)
- Broking of endorsements and simple placements
- Delivery of invoice and advice documentation that is accurate, relevant, clear, transparent, and delivered in a timely manner as defined within the service level standards
- Follow up with colleagues in the Broking Team to close off outstanding matters and underwriter subjectivities to meet timely documentation and billing.
- Monitor, contribute towards resolutions within all tasks across the team, providing appropriate operational support in accordance with the agreed Lockton procedures, including but not limited to;
- Processing of premiums and quarterly pro rata accounts
- Monitor and action profit commissions, adjustments, reinstatements, letters of credit and all other tasks associated with a client’s portfolio
- As appropriate, issue client documentation to the client alongside premium debit instructions
- Ensure payments to and from clients are managed effectively, on time and accurately
- Accurate revenue processing, monitoring and payment (Basic Credit Control)
- Support market accounting activities
- Monitor all aspects to ensure delivery of a superior provision of service
- Sanctions checks and reporting with our internal Compliance Team (Lexis Nexis)
- Maintain effective working relationships with all Associates (Singapore and Overseas) to ensure best broking practices are adhered to, for all client.
- Work to ensure all activities undertaken on behalf of Lockton are compliant with internal standards and procedures and our regulatory obligations.
- Priority resolution to issues and queries is essential
- Ensure proficiency with all IT systems, specifically E Global as the core servicing platform
Qualifications
- CGI Certification
- Diploma in General Insurance by SCI or relevant qualification
Experience (Ideal but not mandatory, relevant experiences will be considered and favoured)
- 2 years + client /internal stakeholder management experience in the relevant Class of Insurance
- Fresh Graduates are welcome to apply

- Understanding of relevant insurance laws, the technical aspects of various insurance policies and the fundamentals and procedures of advising on (re)insurance industry
- Ability to demonstrate Proficiency in utilizing E Global (Lockton’s In House Billing System) to conduct day to day business activities
- Competent in understanding all risks types for proportional and excess of loss placements
- Competent in understanding technical accounting.
- Ability to build and maintain good business relationships with clients, insurers and associates
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally both verbally and in writing with clients, insurers and other Associates
- Demonstrated ability to instill confidence with clients so that the client looks to you and to Lockton International Re as more than just a reinsurance broker, but as a partner in business
- Ability to compile, analyse and interpret financial information and data to facilitate resolutions ahead of transactional processing
