The Opportunity:
Adecco is partnering with a Korean MNC specializing in metal trading, and we are seeking a Sales Support Executive to join their business permanently! Reporting to the Manager, the successful incumbent will play a key role in supporting the company's commodity trading division, focusing specifically on 1 metal commodity to ensure seamless coordination between internal and external stakeholders to manage all shipping documentation and logistics for commodity transactions.
- Full-time, permanent opportunity
- Work location: Central region (near Bencoolen MRT)
- Work hours: Mon-Fri, 9am - 6pm
- Salary: up to $5,500 / month + AWS + VB
The Job:
- Accurately prepare and manage sales orders, invoices, and related sales documentation to ensure timely and efficient order processing and financial tracking.
- Prepare detailed shipping documents (e.g., bills of lading, packing lists, certificates of origin) for metal commodity shipments, ensuring compliance with local and international regulations.
- Handle all banking documentation, including letters of credit (LCs), bills of exchange, and other required financial documents for cross-border transactions.
- Main point of contact between shipping companies, banks, customers, and vendors to confirm accuracy and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to shipping and banking documents.
- Monitor the shipment process to ensure timely delivery, track document submission deadlines, and update internal systems with shipment status and relevant information.
- Ensure all documentation meets trade, customs, and banking regulations, as well as the company's internal compliance standards for commodity trading.
- Communicate effectively with customers on shipping schedules, document requirements, and order status, offering support to ensure smooth and positive interactions.
- Work closely with Sales, Finance, and Logistics teams to ensure alignment on shipment schedules, payment terms, and document accuracy.
The Talent:
- At least 4-5 years of relevant experience in a similar role, prior experience in handling letter of credit documentation for metal commodities is highly advantageous.
- Ability to communicate in Chinese language to liaise with native Chinese-speaking counterparts based in China.
- Meticulous, team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of SAP ERP system is a plus.
