Job Summary

Responsible for cleaning and servicing of all hotel areas and complete the day’s work assigned to high standards.


Tasks/Responsibilities:

  • Collection of computer printouts of occupancy status, arrival departure details and guest requests from the Housekeeping Supervisor/Assistant Housekeeper at the beginning of the shift.
  • Clean rooms to the stipulated standards – prioritise your work based daily room status (monitor rooms checking out and communicate to linen runner).
  • Complete all daily work sheets accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that Guest laundry/Dry cleaning is collected from rooms and communicated.
  • Work performance is in accordance to Leading Quality Assurance and COMO requirements.
  • Ensure that guest keys from Departure rooms are taken to reception or handed over to supervisor.
  • Ensure that items left behind by guests from departure rooms are handed in to the housekeeping office without delay and properly recorded.
  • Clean and restock section pantries before going off duty.
  • Unserved rooms: Inform Housekeeper before going off duty (Do Not Disturb/Refused Service rooms etc.).
  • Refill cleaning materials from the pantry and ensure that cleaning bucket is fully stocked before service.
  • Check and report standard of linen to guest rooms and return any damaged linen to the linen room.
  • Report maintenance faults in guest rooms and hallways and ensure they are attended to without delay. Report to Supervisor any defect not rectified well and on time.
  • Ensure all guest rooms supply of soap, amenities and other materials are sufficient and per COMO requirements.
