Responsibilites
- On-site Supervision of the following areas: C&S
- Assist the Resident Engineer in carrying out supervision works on site and also assist in supervising & co-ordination with other Resident Technical Officer at site;
- Quality control of all civil, structural and architectural works;
- Keep and maintain daily site record on progress of works, instructions given to Contractors, materials delivered to site, daily activities and weather conditions at site, number and visitors at site and any other significant information;
- Supervise and keep records of day works;
- Attend site/coordination meetings as directed;
- To carry site supervision and inspection of the works including any off-site manufacturing, precast concrete and structural steel fabrication as instructed by the Architect so as to ensure that works are constructed to required quality and accuracy;
- To monitor progress of the works on site and at any off-site manufacturing facilities and report delays immediately;
- To provide standing supervision as and when required by Contractors and/or directed by the Architect / SO;
- To maintain proper and updated daily records of all works done, including records of tests, inspections, status of work, safety, site diary, material and equipment on site, labour, dayworks, provisional quantities, etc;
- To check that Contractor executes preliminaries items;
- To check service routes and Contractor’s setting out and report any deviations to the Architect / SO;
- To verify reports and claims submitted by Contractors;
- To record all variations as instructed or approved by Architect / SO;
- To attend to Contractor’s queries and coordinate works of main Contractor and direct Contractors / Suppliers at site;
- To inspect and take over completed works;
- To undertake any other duties related to the project as and when instructed by the Architect / SO;
- Check drawings and documents and report discrepancies;
- Report on site safety, security and housekeeping;
- Compile BSL Quarterly Report.
Responsibilities during TOP
- Ensure cleaning up of site for inspection through the Main Contractor;
- Verify that all constructed works are in accordance with approved authorities drawings prior to any authorities inspection;
- Ensure compliance with widths of all escape routes, stairs, handrails and doors;
- Ensure compliance to handicapped requirements;
- Assist Consultants to organise formal inspections;
- Ensure that all comments / non-conformance by authority departments are replied too and rectified within two weeks of Written Direction.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of site experience in the supervision of residential/mixed development;
- Must be accredited with the IES-ACES Joint Accreditation Committee (JAC);
- Prior experience in precast construction;
- Able to work overtime when required by schedule.
