As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing support to the lead teacher by helping prepare materials, supervising classroom activities, and assisting students in their daily learning. This is an ideal role for someone eager to work in a collaborative, student-centered environment and gain hands-on experience in education.
- Assist teachers with class preparation, admin and implementation of lesson plans
- Assist teachers in designing intervention programmes to support the development of children in the class.
- Assist the lead teacher in classroom management and organization
- Support lesson preparation, including preparing materials and setting up activities
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students as needed
- Record student progress and lesson delivery in a timely manner
- Supervise students during activities and transitions to maintain a safe environment
- Help manage administrative tasks, such as attendance and material inventory
Qualifications
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or related field.
- Min 3 years and prior experience working in an educational setting, preferably with inclusive or special needs environments.
- A passion for working with children in a diverse and inclusive setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a teaching team
- Flexibility and a proactive approach to supporting classroom needs
- Able to start Jan 2025
