Responsibilities:
- Accounts Payable Processing: Handle day-to-day financial transactions. Ensure timely processing and payment of vendor invoices and expense reports while promptly resolving any invoice discrepancies with suppliers.
- Invoice Verification: Verify the accuracy and completeness of invoices and all supporting documentation
- Bank and AP Reconciliation: Regularly match bank statements to AP records, ensuring you accurately record all payments.
- Compliance Check: Ensure all AP transactions comply with company policies and regulatory requirements, including GST requirements.
- Online Payments: Prepare and handle online payments, ensuring approvals and maintaining organized payment records.
- GST Reporting: Support in preparing and filing GST reports, ensuring accurate compliance with tax regulations.
- Month-End and Year-End Support: Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring you accurately account for all AP transactions.
- Fixed Asset: Update and maintain fixed asset tagging, schedules, and expense-off records as required
· Documentation and Filing: Maintain clear and organized documentation records for all AP transactions.
- Ad-Hoc Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned to support the team.
Requirements:
- Qualifications: Degree or Diploma in Accounting. At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounts payable or finance.
- Software Skills: Proficiency in AP software functions; knowledge of Xero and foreign currency transactions is a plus.
- Excel Proficiency: Strong Excel skills,including the use of pivot tables and formulas
- Attention to Detail: Able to manage multiple invoices, track due dates, and ensure accurate records to avoid errors.
- Problem-Solving: Skilled in resolving issues like duplicate invoices, incorrect charges, and vendor disputes.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written skills for clear communication with vendors and team members.
Independence and Prioritization: Able to work independently, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
