Warehouse and Store Executive

Meranti Power Pte. Ltd.

Meranti Power Pte Ltd (MP), a fully owned subsidiary of Energy Market Authority, is continuing to recruit additional new staff to supplement and manage, test and commission and operate the new power generating stations on Jurong Island. We are currently in the project construction stage of the new power generation station.

We are inviting applicants for the following position.


Warehouse and Store Executive shall report to the Warehouse Manager, Supply Chain:


GENERAL OVERVIEW:

  • This position is part of the Supply Chain Group providing procurement and warehouse services to relevant domains. The candidate shall support the Warehouse Manager in ensuring that warehouse operations and activities are performed in adherence to Meranti Power policies, industry standards and compliant with international, national and local workplace legislation.
  • The candidate performs deliveries, asset management and transaction documentation process, and secure handling of goods. He / She shall also support the implementation of improvement opportunities within the warehouse operations.


ROLES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:

The incumbent shall undertake the following activities:

  • Transform our warehouse operations across our site in Singapore Jurong Island.
  • Responsible for store operations, e.g. picking, packing, goods receiving, issuing etc.
  • Perform loading/ unloading/ arranging of warehouse cargo and stock items.
  • Comply with height, weight and special handling requirements in stacking, moving, and arranging items on pallets according to storage plans,
  • Liaise with Users to perform pre-inspection of goods and equipment.
  • Perform Goods Received and Goods Issuance transactions in ERP System.
  • Generate barcode and ensure clear labelling for all inventory items.
  • Responsible for managing the replenishment of stocks as well as the sourcing for critical equipment for our sites
  • Assist in annual stocktake and cycle counts.
  • Manage stock control and reconcile with data storage system
  • Perform warehouse operations in accordance with 5S (sort, set, shine, standardise, sustain) techniques
  • Report warehousing issues to Warehouse Manager in a timely manner.
  • Set up layout and ensure efficient space utilization.
  • Assist in developing fit for purpose warehouse and inbound material metrics to measure performance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement opportunities
  • Maintain the safety performance for warehousing operations.
  • Perform safety and health risk assessment and report WSH incidents.
  • Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene and security
  • Perform any other tasks or participate in special projects as assigned by reporting manager.
  • Perform warehouse operations in compliance with company’s policies and vision

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum diploma and certification in warehousing & logistics or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in warehousing, preferably power related infrastructure such as power plants.
  • Basic knowledge of Maximo / Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office Applications
  • Mandatory to possess forklift license
  • Relevant experience in Inbound Materials Management
  • Good team player, able to work well independently and in a team
  • Exposure in new setup organisation to establish Warehouse Policy and relevant Standard Operating Procedures (“SOP”).
  • Sound knowledge of warehousing activities, storage, receipt and picking.
  • Highly proactive with good interpersonal, liaison and facilitation skills.
  • High level of integrity
  • Maintain warehousing documentation and report to Reporting Officer (“RO”) promptly should any nonconformances be discovered.
  • Experience in power plants worksite’s adherence to Workplace Safety & Health, and relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Fluent in written and spoken English.
  • Good planning skills and able to prioritize the work to complete within timeline.
  • Self‐motivated, results focused and willing to work under tight schedules with multi‐disciplinary teams.
  • Willing to work in construction site office during construction stage and Jurong Island. (Morning transportation pick-up points available at different parts of Singapore.)
