The Total Rewards (TR) team within O&P works very closely with the business leaders to shape the rewards agenda, designing, implementing, and managing compensation, benefits and mobility programs that attract and retain top talent whilst ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations.

Collaborating closely with the Temasek Business Partner (BP) teams ensures alignment between business objectives and HR practices to drive the right outcomes. The TR team also engages with Temasek’s portfolio companies on their executive compensation design, and provides guidance on various compensation matters with the belief that good executive compensation design can, indirectly, enhance the investment returns of the portfolio.


The role

The role will be part of a team which believes that executive compensation design can, indirectly, enhance the investment returns from Temasek’s portfolio companies.

The team engages with portfolio companies on their executive compensation designs. Several engagements are high-involvement compensation plan designs, others focus on providing guidance to portfolio companies on executive compensation matters. This extends to portfolio companies in all markets, across industries and in different stages of their life cycles (Series A to Mature).


Responsibilities:

· Analysing compensation practices, monitoring trends and developments of relevant industries and markets

· Assisting supervisor in developing incentive plan designs that tie in with Temasek’s investment thesis for a particular asset

· Developing excel-based simulations that provide estimates of costs and consequences of incentive plan designs

· Developing presentation slides that explain, or critique, the rationale behind design proposals


Requirements:

· Bachelor’s degree with minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience in Executive Compensation, either in a HR consulting firm or in a Corporate

· Strong domain knowledge of Executive Compensation and understands the basics of Corporate Finance and the basics of analysing the financials of companies

· Strong analytical, written communication and presentation skills

· Fast learner who can thrive in a fast-paced environment and, at times, short deadlines
