JOB OVERVIEW
The Global Citizen Academy is seeking an experienced individual proficient in teaching Model United Nations (MUN) programs for elementary to high school students. The ideal candidate should possess a robust background in competitive MUN participation and a comprehensive understanding of MUN formats such as THIMUN (The Hague International Model United Nations), NMUN (National Model United Nations), or similar competition styles.
Additionally, expertise in teaching English Programs, whether locally aligned with MOE certified syllabus or internationally recognized standards such as SATS/IELTS/TOEFL, is highly desirable.
The selected trainer will conduct lessons utilizing materials provided by The Global Citizen Education Group. This role is based in Singapore, and trainers will be required to travel to schools for on-site training programs. Engagement and remuneration will be on a per-program basis.
Trainers will work as freelancers and must be residents of Singapore, holding certification as an MOE-IRS (Ministry of Education-Instructor Registration System) certified instructor.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct engaging training sessions for students based on the curriculum developed by TGCEG.
- Provide feedback on student’s performance and behaviour periodically.
- Execute classroom management for small group lessons.
- Tailor teaching methods and content to accommodate the diverse learning needs and interests of students.
QUALIFICATIONS
- MOE-IRS certified instructor
- Preferred 2 years of relevant teaching/ mentorship experience in the field of MUN/Model ASEAN, for Primary/ Secondary/ Pre-tertiary schools.
- Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Strong communication skills
- Professional and able to work independently.
- Passionate about teaching

BENEFITS
- Competitive remuneration for the lessons conducted. Depending on the lesson type and experience level, rates will vary accordingly. The expected remuneration will range from but not limited to SGD $45 to SGD $60 per hour.
