JOB OVERVIEW
The Global Citizen Academy is looking for someone with a strong expertise in teaching competitive and/or recreational debate programs for elementary to high school students. The trainer should have a competitive debate background and should be well-versed in the WSDC (World Schools Debating Championships), BP (British Parliamentary), and with experience in teaching English Programs whether locally under MOE certified syllabus or internationally under SATS/IELTS/TOEFL.
The trainer will be conducting lessons with materials provided by The Global Citizen Education Group. This position is based in Singapore, and trainers are expected to travel to schools for on-site training programmes. The terms of engagement and remuneration will be on a per programme basis.
Trainers would work as a freelancer, should reside in Singapore and be an MOE-IRS certified instructor.
Remuneration: $45-75/h (Dependent on experience)
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conduct engaging training sessions for students based on the curriculum developed by TGCEG.
- Provide feedback on student’s performance and behaviour periodically.
- Execute classroom management for small group lessons.
- Tailor teaching methods and content to accommodate the diverse learning needs and interests of students.
QUALIFICATIONS
- MOE-IRS certified instructor
- Preferred 2 years of relevant teaching/ mentorship experience in Primary/ Secondary schools.
- Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
- Strong communication skills
- Professional and able to work independently.
- Passionate about teaching
- Preferably JC graduate
