The Opportunity

This is an exciting role that involves travel, working in dynamic, real-world environments, and hands-on engagement with pioneering quantum technology. As a Field Technician, you’ll play a critical role in supporting the deployment of our unique Quantum Gravimeter at survey sites, such as in the Northern Territory, Australia, and Arizona, USA.


Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot On-Site Issues: Identify and address technical issues on-site promptly, performing necessary repairs or adjustments to maintain sensor accuracy.
  • Conduct Routine Inspections and Testing: Regularly assess the performance of equipment, conduct diagnostics, and verify sensor calibration for data integrity.
  • Deploy and Maintain Equipment: Set up and ensure proper functioning of quantum sensors and gravimeters in various field locations, including rugged or remote environments.
  • Document Procedures and Findings: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, troubleshooting steps, and solutions for future reference and compliance.
  • Collaborate with Internal Teams: Provide feedback to engineering and operations teams about equipment performance and potential improvements, contributing to product refinement.

About you

  • You have 1-2 years experience in a technician role, ideally in a technology-intensive environment, with exposure to sensor or electronics maintenance.
  • You have an ITE or a Diploma in electronics, mechanical engineering, or a related field.
  • You are proficient in diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electronic systems.
  • You are able to work outdoors in varying conditions, and travel frequently to remote locations (Australia, USA, etc.).
  • A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record, as regular travel is required.
