Posses Class 3 Driving License with BDVL Bus Driver’s Vocational License.
Responsibilities:
- Drive the organisation’s vehicle to transport clients and staff to and from their appointment at ABLE or other venues, e.g. swimming complex and outings or any other tasks as assigned.
- Handle wheelchair clients to board and disembark from the assigned vehicle and ensure that they are safely secured to the track in the vehicle during their ride.
- Provide a high standard of safety and care for clients and staff whilst on the road and at the centre.
- Always observe traffic rules and drive safely.
- Maintain transportation records for reporting and review including driver logs, number of transport trips, number of transport clients, fuel consumption, top up of cash card.
- Gather regular feedback from transport clients on services provided and share them with your supervisor.
- Always keep vehicle clean and tidy.
Route Planning and Scheduling:
- Plan and schedule daily transport routes and ensure punctuality for all transportation arrangements.
- Optimize routes using tools like Google Map to reduce travelling time and fuel consumption.
Vehicle Management:
- Conduct regular checks on all the vehicles and ensure that they are maintained in good condition.
- Report any maintenance or repairs needed to your supervisor.
Others:
- Knowledge of basic computing skills would be advantageous.
- Utilise basic computer applications for record keeping, reporting and communications.
- Maintain good communication and relations with fellow drivers and gather feedback to improve processes.
