Responsibilities

  • Co-ordinate the development and implementation of commercial strategy to drive revenue growth, market expansion and profitability. Ensure alignment of all commercial initiatives with overall company goals and objectives
  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify new business opportunities, observe industry trends and analyse the competitive landscape in commodity and financial markets. Use insights to inform strategy and drive commercial success
  • Collaborate closely with Marketing and Sales Team to develop and ensure the strategy of each business function is aligned with the commercial and broader organisational objectives
  • Plan, co-ordinate with Marketing team and monitor financial performance and ensure resources are allocated effectively to meet targets
  • Work closely with internal business functions like product, operations, risk, compliance and technology to support product development, enhancements of system and procedures, and participate in projects that advance the company’s strategic objectives and operational efficiency
  • Identify and establish strategic partnerships and alliances that enhance the company’s market position and growth potential together with the parent company
  • Prepare and tailor pitch decks and necessary documentation for various external and/or internal stakeholders
  • Provide trackers for updates and reports on the progress of strategic initiatives, including financial performance, project status and key milestones
  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to develop market liquidity programs that drive the growth of our markets
  • Co-ordinate and work on strategic financing transaction materials on a need to basis.
  • Update and manage our CRM database effectively


Qualifications and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Business or a related field
  • Minimum 7 years’ experience in business development support role
  • Proficient in writing and proofreading text and ensure that messaging resonates with target audience.
  • Prior experience in commodities and trading will be preferred
  • Strong understanding of financial markets, products and regulatory frameworks is advantageous
  • Excellent stakeholder management, ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team
  • Analytical, highly driven and hungry to make a difference in one’s career
