Job Description
1. Client Acquisition & Business Development
- Develop strategies to attract new corporate clients across the asia region
- Build and expand a portfolio through proactive engagement with prospective clients, leveraging in-depth knowledge of corporate banking products and market insights.
2. Relationship Management
- Serve as the primary contact for existing corporate clients, fostering strong relationships to understand their needs and deliver tailored financial solutions.
- Maintain a comprehensive understanding of clients’ businesses to anticipate requirements and offer relevant banking services and products.
- Conduct regular credit and account reviews to ensure high-quality service and effective client engagement.
3. Financial Structuring & Analysis
- Analyze complex client requirements to design bespoke financing solutions, ensuring alignment with the bank’s credit risk guidelines.
- Develop financing structures that address the specific needs of clients, considering market trends, competitive positioning, and financial soundness.
4. Risk Management
- Perform thorough Know Your Customer (KYC) procedures for all new clients, ensuring compliance before formalizing any business relationship.
- Proactively monitor credit quality of the client portfolio, identifying early signs of credit deterioration and implementing strategies to mitigate risks.
- Conduct ongoing credit assessments to ensure alignment with regulatory standards and the bank’s credit policies
5. Leadership & Team Development
- Guide and support Relationship Managers (RMs) in achieving performance targets, providing mentorship to team members for professional growth.
- Assist in developing career growth pathways for Associates (ARMs) or new team members through structured training, coaching, and performance management.
Job Requirement
1. Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in corporate banking, relationship management, and credit analysis.
2. Prior experience working in China’s banking sector or with China-based clients is essential, with familiarity in cross-border banking and market practices in China.
3. In-depth knowledge of bilateral loans, corporate banking products, and credit risk management principles.
4. Proven ability to drive business growth and manage client relationships across the Asia market.
5. Strong understanding of KYC, AML, and regulatory requirements within the banking sector.
6. Exceptional analytical, organizational, and leadership skills with a client-focused approach.
7. Given that we are a Taiwanese bank; knowledge of mandarin is essential as the role involves preparing email correspondence and periodic reports for overseas branches and HQ in Taiwan
