Background
This is an exciting opportunity to work within Jupiter’s Investment Management department as an Investment Analyst, based in our Singapore office. The Analyst will provide general support across a breadth of investment, operational and client-focused activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to investment idea generation and portfolio construction by:
- Researching companies, meeting brokers and sector analysts
- Using external research and quantitative systems
- Complete bespoke quantitative and qualitative research
- Collaborate with other Investment Desks through idea sharing and investment insights
- Working closely with the Client Group, participate in marketing meetings or sales events
- Ensure ESG & Stewardship priorities are well defined, integrated and relevant to the investment approach
- Critically analyse third-party data including sustainability research
- On a monthly and ad-hoc basis assist with preparation of accurate fund data and materials for the Client Group and Investment Management Controls
- Help ensure that accurate information is supplied in a timely way to clients
- Engage inclusively with colleagues, maintaining good working relationships with other Investment desks, Trading & Investment COO team, Client Group, Risk, Compliance, Brokers, Administrators and Service Providers as relevant
Experience / Skills Required
- Existing knowledge of financial markets and regulatory landscape strongly preferred
- Evidence of strong analytical ability
- Ability to produce clear and appropriately documented analysis in timely fashion
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Highly numerate with attention to detail
- Excellent communication and influencing skills with ability to understand and articulate investment products clearly
- Good organisational skills – capable of working to deadlines and multi-tasking
- IT skills including Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg and proficient with technology
- Resilient – able to cope in a fast moving and challenging environment
Qualifications Required
- IMC/CFA desirable
- Educated to degree level or equivalent industry experience
