Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Review/verify freight invoices, submit the accurate invoices for approval and payment
- Coordinate with Carriers/Freight Forwarders to resolve any issues regarding invoice errors/discrepancies
- Enter accurate freight data including freight invoice and freight booking note into Non-Commodity Trading System (NCTS) on timely basis
- Generate reports from NCTS to assess and evaluate the freight hedging and forecasting process
- Participate in shipment booking/liner nomination works as and when assigned by Supervisor
- Assist with shipping related traffic issues as and when needed/directed
- Perform shipping related work (covering duties for other shipping executives) as and when directed, with a view to progress to higher end related shipping/logistics responsibilities
Job Requirements
- GCE ‘O’ level/Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chains
- Minimum 3 years’ working experience in pail oil/commodity logistics industry
- Good knowledge/experience in container shipping invoicing/AR/AP/common terminology used in container shipping environment e.g. Inco-terns and import and export regulation
- Able to work independently under tight schedule
- Must have initiative and proactive in problem solving
