Transit Business Sales Manager

Basic salary: $7000-$10000

Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM


Benefits:

  • Annual bonus and performance bonus
  • Annual Leave – Start from 14 days, up to 21 days
  • Medical Claim – S$250 nett per annum; consultation fee only after maximum
    claim
  • Mobile Claim – monthly subscription and local airtime charges (capped at SGD100) and overseas mobile charges if traveling for a business trip.
  • Flexi-Work Arrangement Available (e.g. staggered work hours, telecommuting, compressed work week etc)


Responsibilities:

Account Management & Development

● Be the lead point of contact for matters specific to the assigned sales accounts.

● Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with the sales account personnel.

● Negotiate contracts and follow up towards closing of agreements.

● Prioritize and plan the company’s work activities within the customer project scope and timeline.

● Ensure timely and successful delivery of our solutions according to customer needs and objectives.

● Constantly explore new business opportunities or offer new business ideas to customers to expand mutual growth.

● Forecast and track customer account metrics (eg. quarterly sales results and annual forecasts).

● Ensure timely billings to customers.


Business Development

● Actively engage potential clients to update offerings, understand needs, and acquire market intelligence.

● Win new clients by closely following up on actions to clients’ requests, including quotations, proposals, bids, orders, contracts, and specifications.

● Prepare and submit for selected public tenders.

● Coordinate with relevant teams within the company – project management, R&D, and operations – to ensure timely and satisfactory responses to customers.

● Participate in trade shows and industry conferences to collect market intelligence and network with relevant industry players.



Qualifications:

  • Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree holder
  • At least 3 years of experience in B2B sales or business development
  • Account management experience in the following market segments is preferred:
    - Transport authorities
    - Public transport operators
    - Transit system integrators
    - Government agencies
  • Regional experience is big bonus, especially overseas customer network
  • Experience in reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts
  • Background or knowledge in software and electronics/electrical engineering will be an added advantage
  • Ability to communicate, present, and influence, while having attentive listening skills
  • Highly self-motivated, take initiative to learn and to find out answers
