As a manager of our workshop repair operations, and to support our filed service we are employing a Workshop Manager as follows:
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Must be able to solve technical issues in relation to complex machinery/fabrication works repairs for internal and external stakeholders
- Capable of negotiating and communicating effectively with clients, as well as managing tenders, proposals, and quotations
- Oversee and ensure the successful execution of all workshop activities, coordinating efforts to complete contracts within budget and the established timeframe
- Ensure that the quality of all repair/fabrication work carried out conforms to the client’s specifications and to the Company’s quality system
Offer consistent feedback and reporting, both informal and formal, to Management regarding the performance and outcomes of the workshop
- Recruit & train workshop personnels
REQUIREMENTS:
- Solid working experience and proven track record as Workshop Manager in a Ship Yard, Port, Marine Engineering company or a Construction Company
- Previous sailing experience and qualification as Chief Engineer, sailing on oceangoing ships will be an added advantage
- Understanding of Engineering Regulations, norms and clads requirements
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Chief Engineer's licence or similar
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with Customers worldwide
- Experience in cost calculation and personnel management skill
